Pac-12 announces tennis players of the week

Pac-12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week: Tim Ruehl, So., Arizona State
• Notched his first-career singles win over a ranked opponent with a come from-behind victory over #80 Rrezart Cungu of Wake Forest. Ruehl forced a third set at 2-6, 6-2 and won three straight games to clinch the final set, 6-2.
• The Waldshut-Tiengen, Germany native went undefeated in singles play in the opening weekend, also defeating Catalin Mateas of Duke, 7-6 (4), 6-2.
• Ranked #22 with doubles partner Andrea Bolla, the tandem started off the dual-match against Duke strong with a win over the Blue Devil’s tandem, 6-1.
• Ruehl earns his first-career Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and the seventh all-time for the Sun Devils.

Pac-12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week: Stacey Fung, Sr., Washington
Recorded two individual victories and three doubles wins to help Washington defeat Hawai’i 4-1 in a dual-match and at the Weinman Foundation Invitational.
• A 2018 ITA All-American, Fung defeated the 68th ranked player in the nation, Sabrina Machalova of Ole Miss, 6-3, 6-0. She notched another victory against Tea Jandric from Ole Miss, 7-5, 6-1, marking her third singles win in as many days.
• The Vancouver, Canada native improved her doubles record with freshman partner Nika Zupancic to 9-2 on the season with a 6-3 win over Maayan Sela and Nikola Dolakova of Hawai’i.
• Fung earns her second-career Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor and 11th all-time for the Huskies.
